Tyrifjord Golfklubb is regarded as one of Norway’s leading golf clubs and is known for its high standards of course presentation and service to members and visitors.
Due to continued growth in membership and the number of rounds played, we are looking to strengthen our greenkeeping team with two motivated and experienced Seasonal Assistant Greenkeepers for the 2027 season.
Both positions are offered as six-month contracts, with an agreed starting date in March or April 2027.
THE POSITIONS
The successful candidates will work closely with our experienced Head Greenkeeper, Nick Dash, and the rest of the greenkeeping team. The work will include mowing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, semi-rough and rough areas, bunker maintenance, changing holes and tee markers, divot repair, fertilising, topdressing, aeration, seeding and repairing sports turf. Other responsibilities will include assisting with irrigation and hand watering, carrying out daily checks and cleaning of machinery, maintaining a high standard of course presentation and undertaking other seasonal greenkeeping duties when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent relevant qualification in greenkeeping, sports turf management or horticulture. Alternatively, applicants must have at least three years of documented relevant work experience in golf course or sports turf maintenance.
Applicants should have experience using modern golf course maintenance machinery, strong attention to detail and a reliable and flexible approach to work. The successful candidates must be capable of working independently as well as being positive and cooperative members of the team. Good English communication skills and a valid driving licence are required. Relevant pesticide handling or application qualifications will be considered an advantage.
